School Meals and Dress Code
School Meals
An excellent lunch is prepared and cooked daily on the premises.
Children are given a choice of menu and the meals are served on individual 'airline' trays. The cost of school meals is £2.10 per day. Payment for meals is weekly, half termly or termly in advance. Find out what's for lunch tomorrow by following us on Twitter at: http:/twitter.com/foleyinfants
As an alternative to school meals, parents may send a packed lunch with their child. We promote healthy eating and ask that sweets and chocolate are not included in packed meals. We are also part of the National School Fruit Scheme - every child receives a piece of fruit to eat at morning play time.
School Uniform
The school has a flexible uniform which comprises red sweatshirts or sweat cardigans bearing the school logo and white polo shirts. These can be purchased from the School Office. Boys wear either grey trousers or shorts and girls wear grey pinafores, trousers or skirts. During the warmer months, the girls may wear red and white striped or checked dresses. All items of school uniform must be permanently marked with the child's name.
There is no prescribed footwear for school, but we do ask you to ensure that children wear flat shoes (not trainers) which are comfortable and appropriate for playing in the playground.
Children change into black pumps, black shorts and a white T-shirt with the school logo for PE.
NB: It is not the policy of the Education Committee to make compulsary the wearing of any distinctive clothing or uniform; but all pupils are required to attend school appropriately dressed and for the assistance of parents many schools have adopted their own guidelines on dress.
